Yvonne Healy

Yvonne graduated from Maidstone College of Art in 1988 with an Honours Degree in Fine Art, specialising in painting.

In 2007 she returned to painting full-time, after previously working for an art project involving various community groups. Her recent paintings trees and wild grassed areas in Scotland, attempting to evoke the presence of these places, and how they constantly change as the light picks out colours and textures.   Yvonne’s still life studies are examinations of form and colour through using a simple composition, thus allowing the movement in the brushwork to explain the space in the painting.  Since her decision to practise full-time, Yvonne’s work has been exhibited throughout Scotland.
